I went to see Keith Caputo and his Sad Eyed Ladies band (all his band members are Dutch) again last night. The Pittsburgh gig (on August 9) was great but they told me last night that they when playing Pittsburgh they had just arrived at the club and immediately had to run onstage and start playing. A rush job deluxe for them :-)

But they had arrived in Cleveland early on yesterday so when I got to the venue they were chilling out and we could have a decent chat in Dutch and all. Also talked to the Fairmont guys for a bit, cool relaxed dudes.

I'm so glad I went to this gig because god damn, the band was on fire!
I witnessed their pre-show ritual of taking shots and that didn't miss its effect on stage. It's gigs like these that are exemplary of how awesome music can take you to higher, spiritual places in which you soar until you softly land once you get back home and grin from ear to ear.
During the improv jam Keith, Maarten and Chris were crawling over each other, playing each other's instruments, even some dry humping going on haha.
After the jam Maarten apologized for getting carried away! And Keith added that he doesn't have to get laid for a month now haha!

It was pure musical heaven :-)
