Went to see Malick's "The new world" with a bunch of guys on Saturday.
And it's simply breathtaking. Malick is a poetic film maker who loves to paint rhymes of nature and mankind in all it harmony and disharmony.
Some more dialogues than in "The thin red line" but the same mesmerizing shots of nature, rituals and hypnotizing voice overs. The pace is obviously slow but it enhances the impact the visually imposing scenes have on you.
Highly recommended!

On another note, I will be hooked up with cable internet on upcoming Friday. DSL is not possible at my home address and dial up belongs to the stone age.
Anyway, cable internet is quite expensive but 2 months without internet makes me very grumpy.
